The product ACEBASE a new Acetal Resin based material that is now available for subtractive manufacturing. Acetal resins have been used in dentistry for quite some time with great success but procesed in conventional lost wax technique. Also known as Polyoxymethylene (POM), has a monomer-free unique crystalline structure.

Typically thermoplastic resins are more flexible and stronger than their traditional counterparts also elastomeric resins can be added to the resin polymer formulas to create greater flexibility, which reduces fracturing. The thermoplastic resins can produce restorations that are strong, lightweight, flexible tooth colour matched materials that rarely need adjusting. These restorations also display excellent aesthetics and provide long-term comfortable use for the patient. This provides excellent alternative cosmetic restorations for aesthetic conscious patients.
